On Inspiration: TV Series

(from left to right) Emily B., Robyn B., Kelly C., Andrew M. and Stefanie S.

I want to start apologising so so so much for not posting for over a month. This was never meant to happen but as you all know I like taking time to discover new things, evaluate and generate opinions before talking about them.

Being said that, ELLE''s 25th Anniversary October Issue was breathtaking. I am not a huge fan of Kate Hudson but she looked gorgeous in the photo shoot.
Interesting content but nothing out of the ordinary. November Issue is going to be out soon, couple of days, and I'm utterly excited!

This week has been pretty amazing.

1. I discovered some amazing books which I already ordered from Amazon & I'm still waiting them to arrive. As long as I have feedback on them I will post about it.

2. I came across a TV Series called "Kell on Earth", for those of you that have never seen the City, Kell a.k.a Kelly Cutrone is a fashion publicist and founder of the public relations, branding and marketing firm People's Revolution based in NYC and LA.
I'm addicted to it, and because of that (and also because there's only one season) I finished watching all the episodes (8).
I'm going to be totally honest with you, I really can't explain why, but there's something in that woman that gives me so much energy. Obviously, she's known for her brutal straight-talking, but apart from that, I think I now have an official role model.
I perfectly know that is a Reality show and is all absolutely edited but I just love it, everything about it.

If you like fashion, stress, PR events and want to see what I'm talking about visit this site, where you can watch all the season (except for the first one, which I watched on TV but couldn't find online) If you do find it though, send me a tweet, an email or just comment below so I can update that information in the post ;)

Running to WHSmith because...

ELLE's September Issue is now OUT!
and Emily Blunt the coverstar!

Can't wait to have it (this was just to break the ice because the blog was inactive for like a month)
And just so you know: I wanted to say how in LOVE I am with an eye shadow from Maybelline NY in the shade: 621 Sparkling Gold.
Some friends asked which green I use, in that case is: 540 Intense Green from Maybelline as well.
I prefer leaving all the make up stuff to my mentor Katrine Dall. She knows all the good stuff.

Lily Allen: ELLE MAGAZINE August 2010

Tonight on Lily Allen's new cover photo shoot for the August Issue of ELLE MAGAZINE.
Stunning shots from the British singer who admits 'giving up' her music career to focus on her 'fashion business' and maybe a baby.
I like her music, but the idea of her starting a retail/hiring vintage shop of her own wardrobe alongside her sister doesn't convince me that much. I think she does great behind the mic though, so why not stick to that? Oh, I get it, it seems that nowadays 'celebrities' are more of a package. But anyway, I'm sure she's going to do great with it, she's a very talented woman with a powerful personality and it wouldn't surprise me if she dazzles us again with her projects.

The store (co-owned by her sister Sarah Owen) will be opening "in September in a quiet street behind London's Oxford Circus" and it's called Lucy in Disguise.

Check out her latest CD "It's not me, It's you" released in February 2009 and includes The Fear, 22, Who'd have known & Not Fair amongst others.

Don't miss this month's issue with a free t-shirt by Paul & Joe Sister.

1929-1993

One of the all time classics and my personal favourite is the amazing "Breakfast at Tiffany's" with Audrey Hepburn. My friend Amanda introduced me to Hepburn's world two years ago.

She's seems so delicate and fragile in that little black dress. The sunglasses are just mazing! and the hat with the scarf is my favourite outfit featured in the film. I really recommend the film, is not a masterpiece but it's amazingly endearing. The music is so sweet and it's filmed in NY.

She definitely looks better in the first half of the film, towards the end you can see her rocking an awful hairstyle given to her "lack of time" before moving to south america with her new boyfriend (so bad).

So, in my opinion the best part is when Holly and Paul spend the day together. That is the most romantic bit in a film I ever seen. Is not about being mellow and caring and all the romantic stereotypes fixed by movies. I think that bit in the film represents what two people enjoy doing while being together. Obviously you can see that "she's not into him", as her objectives are totally different, however, he's utterly sweet without being corny at all. He was really handsome and I could definitely see a difference between the first paul (before meeting Holly) and the second one, he was in love, obviously, but apart from that, I think she taught him how to have fun and seize the moment.

There's more behind this film that you imagine, now is when I realise I choose the wrong Elective at uni. But still, watch it!
